Since 1963 Parker-Kaufman, Realtors has managed vacation rental property on Jekyll Island. Our web site is designed to help you in selecting a vacation cottage that will best suit your needs.

All vacation cottages managed by Parker-Kaufman are privately owned and may vary from modest to quite plush. Rental rates are based on location, general condition, size, number of tenants that the cottage accommodates, and the amenities the cottage offers. We ask that you treat these properties with the care you would you own home so they will be available for the enjoyment of yourself and others for years to come.

RENTAL SEASONS

2017 OFF-SEASON RATES

Apply from 1 January thru 3 March 2017 and again from 5 August thru 31 December 2017.

2017 MAY RATES

Apply from 29 April thru 2 June 2017..

2017 SEASON RATES

Apply from 4 March thru 4 August 2017.

RENTAL RATES

These rental rates are based upon a seven (7) day minimum stay. Our rental week runs from Saturday to Saturday during peak seasons. During the Off-Season, other beginning and ending days may be possible. Shorter stays may be available and can be reserved within (10) days of your arrival. Please contact us for details.

HOW TO MAKE A RESERVATION

Reservations can be made online or by calling Toll-Free 888-453-5955 or 912-635-2512.  Please select between 3-5 cottages when making a reservation in the event your first choice is not available.  Our staff is very knowledgeable and will be happy to provide you with available dates and answer any questions you may have about our cottages and the Island itself. While you are here, it is possible for you to visit our other homes as long as they are available.

CHECK-IN

Check-in time is 4:00 p.m.

Please do not arrive before then unless other arrangements have been made. Prior to checking in, please.

DO NOT go to the cottage you have rented as this may interfere with the cleaning crew. You are responsible for any damage to the property during your stay so please let us know immediately if you detect a problem. Do not wait until check-out to let us know. You will have a set of House Rules and a Guest Survey in your cottage. Please review the rules and fill out the survey before leaving. We appreciate all the feedback from our tenants. Let us know in advance if you are going to be a late arrival.

CHECK-OUT

Check-out is 10:00 a.m

Please make every effort to honor check-out time to allow us time to get ready for the next tenants. If you have rented linens, please bundle them in a pile next to the front door. We also ask that you sweep, clean the stove and refrigerator, empty the trash, turn off all lights and lock doors and windows. Please remember to return the Guest Survey.

KEY RETURN POLICY

PLEASE RETURN ALL KEYS to our Parker-Kaufman Office on check-out. A $5.00 fee will be charged for each cottage or villa key not returned. We have a key drop box for your convenience.

DEPOSITS

To secure your rental, we MUST receive payment for 50% of the rental rate within seven (7) days of making a reservation or it will be released.  You may pay by credit card when booking directly on line or by phone reservation.  Paperwork WILL NOT be mailed until we receive your deposit. At that time, your reservation will be confirmed and a confirmation will be emailed or US mailed to you.

The balance of the rent, services, taxes and a reservation processing fee are due 14 days prior to your arrival.

METHOD OF PAYMENT

We can accept payment by cash, personal check, traveler checks, VISA, MasterCard or Discover.  Personal checks will only be accepted at check-in with a valid photo ID (i.e. Driver’s License, Military or Government ID).

TAXES

Georgia 6% sales tax applies to cottage and linen rentals. A 5% Hotel/Motel tax is charged on the first 30 days of your stay. (All tax rates are subject to change).

RESERVATION PROCESSING FEE

A Reservation Processing Fee of $20.00 is charged on each reservation.

CANCELLATION POLICY

ALL CANCELLATIONS MUST BE IN WRITING and can be sent via U.S. Mail, Email (inquiry@parker-kaufman.com) or by Fax (912-635-2190).  It is the renters responsibility to check with our office to insure we have received your notice to cancel a reservation.

If a cancellation occurs anytime up to 180 days prior to your arrival, we will automatically refund your deposit less the $30.00 service charge and $20.00 reservation processing fee. In the event the cancellation occurs within 180 days prior to your arrival, we will make every effort to re-rent the cottage for that time period. However, the deposit, less a $30.00 service charge and $20.00 reservation processing fee, will be refunded only when the cottage has been re-rented. Since all cottages are individually owned, upgrading from one cottage to another cottage will be treated in the same fashion as a cancellation. You may wish to investigate “Trip Interruption Insurance Coverage” online or with your local insurance carrier to protect your vacation investment.

PET POLICY

Pets are not permitted at any time in cottages where so designated in the description. In cottages where pets are permitted a $150.00 Non-Refundable Pet Fee is due upon arrival unless otherwise noted. Most cottages will only allow pets during the off-season months. Some cottages have made an exception to this rule and allow pets year round. Please see the individual pet friendly cottage description for more information.

NO PETS are permitted in ANY COTTAGE during the Summer Season unless otherwise noted.(4 June through 5 August 2016)

This policy is strictly enforced and tenants in violation will be asked to vacate the premises with no refund.

COTTAGE INFORMATION

WHAT TO BRING
(Theseitems are NOT provided by the owner or Parker-Kaufman)

  • Sheets and Towels (unless you are renting them from us)
  • Paper Products (toilet tissue, paper towels, trash bags, coffee filters, etc.)
  • Cleaning Supplies (all-purpose cleaner, bathroom cleaner, glass & floor cleaner, etc.)
  • Personal Items (hand soap, shampoo/conditioner, lotion)
  • Please Note: A starter set of Linens, paper products and toiletries are provided for those renting units at Villas By The Sea.

FURNISHINGS

All cottages are equipped with ranges, refrigerators, cookware, silverware, and dishes. Each is furnished, equipped and maintained according to the owner’s preference. All Cottages are housekeeping cottages, with vacuum, broom and mop provided. Bedding includes mattress pads, pillows and bedspreads (blankets are provided in wintertime), however, not linens. Rentals linens are available provided we receive your request at least 14 days prior to your arrival date. A linen rental form is available on our website. Paper products (toilet tissue, paper towels, etc.), as well as soaps and detergents are not furnished with the rentals.

EQUIPMENT & APPLIANCES

All of the rental cottages offer the following: air conditioning, heat, telephone, television, and cable TV/Satellite service (some have HBO or upgraded digital cable service, where noted). Parker-Kaufman, as rental agents, CANNOT GUARANTEE the operation of the air conditioning, or other appliances: however, we will do our very best to have any malfunction repaired as soon as possible. Please note: Your refrigerator works best on the middle setting. If you have just arrived with room temperature groceries or hot items from your automobile, please allow at least 12 to 24 hours for the refrigerator to reach the proper setting. It helps to not load entire cases of hot soda cans all at once.

RENTAL RATES, FURNISHING AND EQUIPMENT ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT NOTICE.

 

WIFI and DSL SERVICE

WIFI service where offered cannot be guaranteed. We CANNOT REFUND for WIFI or DSL equipment failure. Not all WiFi lines are secured

TELEPHONES and LONG DISTANCE SERVICE

There is no charge for local telephone calls.

LONG DISTANCE or COLLECT CALLS

Long distance or collect calls should not be charged to the cottage telephone. Any long distance charges must be paid for by the renter by calling card or credit card at the time the call is placed. In the event that a long distance call is charged to the cottage phone, the renter will be billed for that call along with a $5.00 handling fee.

Cellular phone service is always an option.

BABY BEDS & HIGHCHAIRS

We have a good supply of portable baby beds (full size) and highchairs available for weekly rental on a first-come, first-served basis. Please request these in advance. Crib sheets not available.

NO-NO's

Furniture moved from one area of the cottage to another will result in additional charges. DO NOT REMOVE ANY FURNISHINGS FROM THE COTTAGE or move it from one cottage to another (furniture, cookware, dishes, utensils, etc.) No campers or recreational vehicles are allowed on the premises.

PARKING FEE

Currently a fee of $6.00 is charged for each vehicle entering Jekyll Island. Parking fees are used to help maintain Jekyll Island’s pristine beauty. Other options, subject to change, are available:
